About PrimeM2M

M2M SIM stands for Machine-to-Machine Subscriber Identity Module.

It’s the technology that enables devices and sensors (the “things” within the Internet of Things) to communicate with other internet-enabled devices and systems.

Its intelligent network switching (eUICC) SIM, in the Indonesia. Many businesses face challenges around network resilience, security and scalability. These frustrations are worsened by poor customer service, ineffective data management and inflated cost structures. PrimeM2M™ solves these issues, offering a seamless, multi-network-resilient SIM card for the Indonesia and for worldwide mobile connectivity that is adaptable, affordable, reliable, and secure.

In Indonesia, we have Telkomsel, XL Axiata, and Indosat, all integrated into one smart SIM card.

M2M SIMs come in more durable forms than you’ll find in classic consumer SIMs, which are designed for cell phones. Although these traditional SIMs work in M2M or IoT devices, they’re designed for normal, everyday use and may not hold up in harsher operating environments. More importantly, they’re built to accommodate how we use cell phones, which isn’t how most M2M devices operate.

Traditional SIMs come with rigid contract terms, fixed data plans, and high roaming charges. They’re also difficult to access and manage remotely. Both classic consumer and M2M SIMs come in several form factors, including 2FF, 3FF, and 4FF, as well as MFF2 (also known as embedded SIMs).

M2M SIMs are designed for usage in a broad range of IoT applications—and classic SIMs are designed for use in cell phones.

Steered SIM
• Have a list of primary roaming networks that dictate which network the SIM connects while roaming in any given country. Therefore, Steered SIMs connect to the predefined networks even if stronger and better quality networks are available. • Can only change the network when the signal drops below a certain threshold. • Devices are more likely to remain on its preferred network even when that one is not available due to a local outage or one in its core network.

Non-Steered SIM
• Do not have any predefined preference on their networks list. Instead, these SIMs automatically arrange a list of all the available networks and are free to connect to the strongest and best possible network in any given area. • Priorities connectivity, this means that the roaming SIM will always connect to the strongest signal available, no matter what network is it. • Devices can select their preferred network based on measured data throughput.

PrimeM2M is a non-steered SIM solution that provides access to multiple mobile operators and their wireless infrastructure, allowing you to select the best network for each location. It also offers access to licensed LPWA networks like NB-IoT and Cat-M1, as well as high-speed enterprise connectivity options such as 5G, LTE, 4G, and 3G. This flexibility enables you to choose the optimal connectivity type to meet your organization's specific requirements. The solution operates over existing mobile operator infrastructure, establishing a secure and cost-effective private connection from the endpoint directly into the secure network. It bridges your private mobile network with your organization's existing infrastructure, delivering a fully managed and secure network solution with firewalling and other advanced features.

Very! Follow these steps below:

- You just have to enter the APN name. No username and password is required.
- The APN name will be advised at the time of order; or you can ask our support team.

Some devices require to set the roaming and automatic network selection option to on.

Multi-network SIM cards automatically compile a list of available networks, then connect to the one with the strongest signal.

You don’t need to do anything like switch the device off and on or reconfigure its settings.

If your Multi-network SIM loses signal, the device will immediately search for a new network to connect to.

Some devices use extra logic, like pinging a certain IP address, to determine if connectivity is lost and to reconnect.

We offer an optional satellite module that can be subscribed to in advance as an add-on for your contingency plan. This ensures that your IoT connectivity will not be affected, as satellite connectivity will seamlessly take over.

Yes, you can subscribe to the satellite add-on module at any time, as long as the number of active SIMs meets the minimum quantity required to run the satellite add-on.

When switching, the device will automatically re-register on another network, so there may be a brief 30-60 second delay in re-connecting, and the customer will be notified if the notification option is turned on.

Yes, you can set the SIM to prefer a specific network (but this should be for troubleshooting only, as locking it to a single network removes the Multi-network capability!).

Unlike their single-network counterparts, an intelligent Multi-network SIM card is one that’s able to access many or all of the networks in a given location.

Device locking takes device tracking a step further by allowing you to lock a specific SIM to a single device's IMEI. If a locked SIM attempts to connect to your network via a new device without authorisation, the connection will not be established until the SIM is re-authorised to do so.

Yes, We absolutely can apply those required rules for you.

Our flexible and adaptable solutions allow you to connect your networks via direct interconnect physically or via IPsec to extend your network right down to the device itself.

Yes, There is an API for management which replicates all features available in the portal interface.

Yes, There is a Webhook, an event-driven communication that automatically sends data in JSON format between applications via HTTP.

Triggered by specific events, webhooks automate communication between application programming interfaces (APIs) and can be used to activate workflows.

M2M traffic generally uses what is called a “Private APN”, which is configured on the device. The APN is a configuration context in the mobile network which gives different resources to the M2M traffic.

This generally means that the bandwidth is not shared with consumer bandwidth, so there is no risk of congestion in peak periods, and service levels for that APN are higher than a standard consumer type SIM card.

Yes, You can!, A Private APN allows you to use a mobile network operator’s infrastructure as your own private network for connectivity directly into the organisation’s private network.

We utilise APN technology as one of the many network stack layers to create fully secure private mobile connected networks from the endpoint directly into the secure network.

2 (two) years, The data would be removed automatically by using FIFO method.

An annual package where the SIM expiration date follows the project period.

These plans are annual, with SIM cards deployed in stages over the project period.

There are two key components:

- The project and the SIM validity period, both of which last for one year.
- The SIM period begins upon activation.

However, if any SIMs remain unactivated by the end of the project, a fee will be incurred. This fee is calculated by multiplying the number of unactivated SIMs by the cost per SIM per year or they will be set to retired status within 1 month.

You can topup your quota using two options:

1. Purchase manually by calling our support team during working hours.
2. Topup by yourself by going to the "Organization Data Quota" dashboard card, then follow the steps below:

- Click on the Data Pooled number to see the list of existing projects.
- Select the desired project you want to topup, then click the topup link on the right side of the row then follow the topup instruction there.
- You can also click on the ICCID, view the details, and find the 'Bulk Quota Topup Now' link below the balance percentage info.

Follow the instructions to pay online, and your quota will be increased as soon as the payment is processed.

The expired SIMs will be automatically set to retired within one month after their expiration date, and all retired SIMs cannot be recovered.

If your card is lost, you can contact our support team immediately, and we will block it right away.

Please note that once a card is blocked, it cannot be unblocked or restored to its original state.

If you don’t have an account yet, please register one on the PrimeM2M portal. You will need to have 1 SIM ready to register the EID (located on the back of the SIM) during the account registration process. After your account is registered and activated, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the PrimeM2M portal and select the Rules menu, indicated by the Star icon.
2. Create a rule name and enter a friendly description, then click Next.
3. Select List as the Data Source and ensure the All Data option is checked, then click Next.
4. Choose Pre-Active Subscription as the Condition, then click Next.
5. Select Activate Subscription as the Action, choose the plan you purchased, and optionally enter an email address in the Notification field (separated by commas). You can skip the webhook fields for now.
6. Click Submit. The activation process will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

If you need assistance, feel free to contact our support team.

Sure! You can easily find the ICCID you want to suspend or activate. Click on the ICCID to view its details, select the appropriate option, provide the reason, and then click the 'Apply' button. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes for the changes to take effect on the SIM.

If you need assistance, feel free to contact our support team.
